The HAPU30 Panic Door is HAPU's flagship fire and escape door — purpose-engineered for smoke-pressurized stairwells. Its integrated pressure differential compensation valve automatically equalizes pressure differentials of up to 450 Pascal within 0.8 seconds of handle actuation.
Unlike conventional fire doors that can only be opened with extreme force under high pressure, the HAPU door remains fully operable under all conditions — ensuring safe self-rescue for occupants and rapid access for emergency responders.

0.2 Seconds → ≤ 75 Newton
Immediately after handle actuation, the valve opens and opening force drops to ≤75 N — compliant with DIN EN 12101-6 escape door requirements.
0.8 Seconds → ≤ 50 Newton
Full pressure equalization achieved. Opening force ≤50 N meets DIN 18040-1 / DIN 18040-2 barrier-free accessibility requirements for all users.
Up to 450 Pascal Compensated
Pressure differentials up to 450 Pa are fully equalized — covering all real-world scenarios including stack effect, wind pressure, and smoke buoyancy.
High-Rise Buildings
Pressurized stairwells in towers where smoke control systems generate extreme pressure differentials.
Healthcare Facilities
Hospitals requiring certified fire protection and barrier-free accessibility for patients and staff.
Commercial Buildings
Office towers, hotels, and mixed-use buildings with mandatory smoke control and evacuation routes.
Infrastructure
Tunnels, underground facilities, and transport hubs requiring certified fire and smoke protection.
How It Works
Pressure Differential
Compensation Valve
01
Handle Actuation
The moment you press or push the door handle, the integrated compensation valve opens instantaneously — requiring no external power or electronics.
02
Pressure Equalization
Air flows through the valve to rapidly equalize the pressure differential between stairwell and floor. Full equalization of up to 450 Pa within 0.8 seconds.
03
Safe Operation
With pressure equalized, the door opens freely — ≤50 Newton opening force, barrier-free for all users, under any weather or pressure conditions.
